2019 Nissan Rogue: Quiet and Capable
As the crossover market continues to boom in the auto industry, manufacturers like Nissan can rest easy knowing they were one of the first to the game with vehicle generations under their belts built on improvements and evolution of the model lineups.
Nissan’s Rogue, one of the best-selling crossovers in Canada, returns for 2019 better than ever loaded with safety features, creature comforts, and one of the quietest cabins on the road today.
In terms of styling, the 2019 Nissan Rogue remains largely unchanged from the previous year. Featuring Nissan’s signature V-Motion grille, the Rogue’s family resemblance helps tie the lineup together and make it instantly recognizable on the road.
Inside, the 2019 Nissan Rogue can be outfitted with leather-wrapped power adjustable seats that are also heated (along with the steering wheel), power moonroof, and even an available 9-speaker Bose sound system – which can all be had with the range-topping SL Platinum with ProPilot Assist.
Speaking of ProPilot Assist: for 2019, Nissan’s ProPilot Assist is slightly upgraded from the previous model’s. Where the 2018 model simply featured lane-keep assist and mitigated braking, this 2019 version is programmed to keep you on the right path (between the lines, even if the road curves) and is also programmed to bring the car to a slow halt if the driver becomes unable to and is no longer holding the steering wheel.
Equipped with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, the 2019 Nissan Rogue produces 170 horsepower and is paired with a CVT that helps with fuel efficiency.
Inside, the 2019 Nissan Rogue features 1,112 litres of cargo space in the rear without the rear seats folded down. Fold those down and your interior space jumps to 1,982 litres and the Rogue features Nissan’s Divide-N-Hide storage system that allows the Rogue to be configured in 18 different ways to accommodate a host of different items in the rear.
