Nissan wants safety to be standard and offered at no extra cost. The Japanese automaker will indeed offer its brand new Nissan Safety Shield suite of active safety on its most-popular models by 2021.

Nissan Safety Shield protects Nissan occupants from the front, from the side, and from the rear.

Upfront, you get Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Lane departure warning, and high-beam assist. Blind spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert protect you from the side, and rear intelligent emergency braking protect you from the rear.
