Happy 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing From Nissan

NASHVILLE, Tennessee – On July 20, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. In the years since this successful mission, numerous leaps in space-age technology have made their way into everyday life.

Nissan, and other automakers, use many of these technologies. Let's celebrate the 50th anniversary of this historic moment with 10 technologies brought back down to Earth and into some cars:

1. Radar- and camera-based ProPILOT Assist driver-assistance technology1
2. LED lighting
3. Zero Gravity seats with Temper Foam
4. GPS-based navigation2
5. Computer software
6. Lithium-ion batteries
7. Heat-resistant brakes
8. Studless winter tires
9. Exhaust heat shields
10. Satellite radio3

ProPILOT Assist cannot prevent collisions. It is the driver's responsibility to be in control of the vehicle at all times. Always monitor traffic conditions and keep both hands on the steering wheel. System operates only when lane markings are detected. Does not function in all weather, traffic and road conditions. System has limited control capability and the driver may need to steer, brake or accelerate at any time to maintain safety. See Owner's Manual for safety information.
Never program while driving. GPS mapping may not be detailed in all areas or reflect current road status.
Available services/features may be shown. Compatible connected device may be required. Only use services/features and device when safe and legal to do so.
