A panel of 82 journalists from 24 different countries named the 2018 Nissan LEAF the Green Car of the Year at yesterday’s New York International Auto Show. The LEAF which was first introduced in 2011 is the first all-electric car to win the award since it was created 14 years ago.

2018 Nissan LEAF offers 241 kilometers of range

Part of what makes the new 2018 Nissan LEAF so appealing is that it now offers 241 kilometers of range, a vast improvement over the previous generation. The new LEAF also features impressive technologies like the Nissan ProPilot Assist (a driver assistance technology that truly stands out) and E-Pedal one-pedal driving.

"We're very proud that since Nissan LEAF launched in 2010, we've been able to put more than 300,000 zero-emission electric vehicles on the road worldwide, helping to reduce carbon footprints around the globe," said Daniele Schillaci, Executive Vice President, Global Marketing and Sales, Zero Emission Vehicle and Battery Business; Chairman of Management Committee for Japan/A&O (Japan, Asia, Oceania Business); Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.,. "We're honored to be recognized by this esteemed jury and proud to continue to expand the vision of Nissan Intelligent Mobility."
